Writing Task
The Tooth Fairy Travels
As Ella, the Tooth Fairy, fumbled around under the pillow where David’s head lay, she was astounded by his stonking breath! Urgh! It almost knocked her out! Did this boy brush his teeth before bed? Ella let out a little screech but not loud enough to awake David from his sleep. What on earth had caused his breath to be so terrible? Well judging by his bedroom bin that was overflowing with sweet wrappers and cans of full fat coca cola, it didn’t take Ella long to guess. If David carried on like this he would soon have a mouth full of fillings. Oh dear thought Ella. She looked inside her purse to see how much to leave and decided that 10p would be plenty! It wasn’t enough to buy any more sweets and would hopefully teach David a lesson.
Moving on to the next house on her list, Ella couldn’t help but notice the difference with this child, right from the refreshing smell upon arrival. She gleefully glided in through the window carefully inspecting the immaculate condition of the room. Ella was amazed at the sight of the numerous educational posters and revision notes plastered on the wall. She couldn’t help but to let out a gasp of joy. As she slipped her hand under the pillow, Ella had already decided that she would leave a whole pound for this little girl.
Remember to describe using adjectives and adverbs to make your writing interesting.
