If your child is too unwell to come into school, please use the "Report Absence" link from this page, ring school (01522 750 376), or email us (enquiries@nettleham-junior.lincs.sch.uk) before 9.30 a.m. on the day your child’s absence starts. If  your child is unwell we do need to know the details of this – we often receive messages simply saying their child is “poorly” or “sick”, but now more than ever, it is essential that we are able to keep track of what illnesses we have in school.

We also get queries regarding how long a child should be kept away from school.  We follow the guidelines issued by the Health Protection Agency, a copy of which is attached. Please note in particular that, if your child has had a stomach bug, they must not return to school until 48 hours after the last instance of vomiting/diarrhoea, in order to protect the health of the other pupils and staff of the school.
