December News
As we look towards the end of term our children have been and continue to be engaged, enthusiastic and excited!
The school PTA Christmas Fayre was a super event, thank you so much to everyone who helped to organise this and to those of you who attended – such a lovely atmosphere
Further events in the coming weeks include:
- Year 3’s wonderful modern nativity ‘An Out of this World Christmas’ on Friday 13th December at 2pm
- Our school choir singing at Lincoln Cathedral on Friday 13th December at 7.30pm
- Year 6’s brilliant performance of their musical ‘Whistle Stop Tour’ at 7pm on Tuesday 17th December
- A group of our year 6 children singing and sharing poetry at Buddies Dementia Café on the afternoon of Tuesday 17th December
- Children’s Christmas Party Day is on Wednesday 18th December. Alongside the usual food and games we have the theatre company Pals Productions returning to school to present their version of ‘Dick Whittington’, kindly funded by the PTA. You should soon receive lists with regard to party food that needs to be provided by each child. Also children can come to school in their ‘party’ clothes on that day, packed lunches are not needed for party day and there will be no hot school meals as we have a ‘shared’ lunch from contributions.
- You may wish to visit Nettleham All Saints Church through the Christmas period for one of their services or simply to look at the tree which will be decorated by our Year 6 children as part of our simple Christmon Service in church at 11.00am on Thursday 19th December.
Please note that school closes at 3pm on Thursday 19th December and reopens for the New Year on Monday 6th January 2020.
I look forward to seeing you over the coming weeks.
