October News 2024

The latest news and future dates from Nettleham Juniors.

It has been a fantastic first term back in school and we are all very impressed with how well the children have begun the school year, they are amazing!

Feedback from visitors to school and anyone who comes into contact with our pupils is always totally complimentary. We are so proud of them.

The term ahead is packed with more excitement and opportunities for us to meet with families to celebrate so much that is good in school.

The second week after half term sees our termly parents’ meetings where families have the opportunity to discuss children’s progress and next steps with teachers. If you haven’t already booked you can do so in the Parents section of our website on the ‘Parents Meetings November 2024’ page.

There is a massive amount to be excited about over the next few months…here’s a short list if some key dates as we approach Christmas:

After half term we will be selling poppies and other items in support of the annual poppy appeal.

Our school photographer will be visiting on 18th November to take individual, sibling and family photos.

Friday 29th November is our ‘dress down day’ in return for donations for our PTA Christmas Fayre which will take place after school on December 6th between 5pm and 7pm.

Our Christmas Carol Service for families and staff will take place on Tuesday 10th December at 6pm.

Our Y3 Christmas Performance for families will take place on Tuesday 17th December at 6pm.

Our school party day is booked in for 18th December, please refrain from booking hot lunches on that day, we will all contribute to a shared lunch.

Term Ends on Thursday, 19th December 2024 and children return after the Christmas break on Monday, 6th January 2025

Harvest and Macmillan
Thank you so much

Thank you so much for the amazing response to both our harvest collection and our Macmillan fundraiser. We have never sent so much food to the Community Larder and have, so far, sent nearly £500 to Macmillan!

What a term!

This term we have loved: Harvest, Fun Sports, Animals UK visiting school, the Waste from Energy trip, hosting Lincoln Cathedral Musicians, wider opportunities music lessons, lots of sports coaches, great before and after school clubs, meet the teacher events, a new school council, new worry warriors…and so much more!
